November 8, 9 & 10, 2018: I’m delighted to be joining Kim-Lee Kho and many other Mississauga and GTA artists for In Situ ll; a multi-media nocturnal art festival at CreativeHub1352 (aka The Small Arms Building) at 1352 Lakeshore Blvd. (at the foot of Dixie). The Small Arms Building is a half-renovated, half still gloriously decrepit munitions inspection building from WW2 -- great raw spaces perfect for artistic take-overs! This year's theme is "Making Space. Making Place."
Saxophone and spoken word will echo from vaults, video projections will enliven windows,
live drawing, painting and graffiti will energize corridors. Spontaneous, magical, dance, music
and theatre performances will surprise, inspire and pique your curiosity! Oh, and a few
of yours truly’s Subversive Signs™ will aim to administer a dose of graphic smelling salts!
Just ask anyone who attended In Situ in 2016 — it was AMAZING! (Check out the photos of Kim's works at In Situ 2016 here)
...and this year’s event promises to be just as exciting!
Event runs from 6:30pm – midnight each night, and there will be BBQ, plus a cash wine and craft beer bar. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $15 for students, and will be available at the door, but I highly recommend buying them online ahead of time, as there will be a nightly cap on attendance, and it's going to be very a popular event!
