Meticulously-crafted combinations of curves and straights designed to be unique and universal — it’s like having with a stacked deck! And who says letters and numbers are best only in words? Let’s set those beauties free to play in our artistic playground! Frontwards or backwards, clean or layered, big or small, revered or distressed — are you excited yet?? This workshop will be very hands-on! We’ll be hand-cutting stencils and masks from letters printed out on your printer, and using them creatively and iteratively with our gel plates. Gel plate printing is insanely fun and once you’ve started, it can be hard to stop! — perfect for exploring, experimenting, and developing layered work! You can use the pdfs I've provided below to print out (or have printed out) letters of different sizes and styles. They've been outlined to make them easy to cut out. Of course, you’re welcome to use your own fonts and printouts instead or additionally. Working from the comfort of your own home/studio, you’ll connect with fellow painters through group discussions and real-time exercises during each class, as well as working on a weekly project on your own time between classes. We will be on the easy-to-use Zoom online meeting platform. Recordings of live sessions are made available to all participants, so if you can't make the live time slot, you can watch it later. Video-only Version: $66 The only difference is that you don't join us for the live Zoom class, but rather watch the video replay, which I make available to all enrolled students shortly after each class.
