Creative Stencilling
Fridays, May 15-June 19, 2020 (6 weeks) 10am-12:15pm EDT $150.00 Class Limit: 15 Deadline for enrollment: Midnight May 14 Using stencils is ridiculously fun — so many options! Patterns, images, letters, shapes, motifs, textures… And then there are the many ways to use them! What colours, what combinations, subtle or strong, in layers or in a single hit, off-the-rack, custom-made or both?? Join me as we explore the myriad creative options. Through judicious design, colour, and value decisions, create original artworks that harness stencils’ strengths and transcend their limitations. Learn how here! Working from the comfort of your own home/studio, you’ll connect with fellow artists through group discussions and a short, real-time exercise during each class, as well as working on a weekly project on your own time to share with the group in our private Facebook Group. Our live classes will be on the Zoom online meeting platform, which is very easy to use. I’ll share slideshows of art history, and we can chat about it while I do — just as we would in-person! I can demo and answer questions, and we can chat and share as we work. At the end, we’ll share our work (or work-in-progress) by taking photos and emailing them to me. Recordings of live sessions will be made available to participants, so if you can't make the live time slot, you can watch it later. Cost: $150 for 6 classes Your completed payment secures your spot.
