The human face is endlessly fascinating - and even more so when you collage it! In this course, we’ll take on faces with several different approaches: from realistic to expressive to playful! You’ll learn to combine disparate imagery, paint with paper, decollage and collage in combination with other media.

With her trademark blend of masterwork examples, fun and challenging exercises, and plenty of discussion and laughter – Kat will have you making faces that surprise and delight you. All the while, you’ll be building your collage skills, training your artistic eye and learning to trust your own creative instincts.

Working from the comfort of your own home/studio, you’ll connect with fellow artists through group discussions and real-time exercises during each class, as well as working on a project on your own time between classes.
We will be on the easy-to-use Zoom online meeting platform.

The course is accompanied by a private Reddit Community where you can upload your finished or in-progress homework, plus see and comment on your fellow classmates’ work. It’s a lively, collegial safe space to share your work, and I offer comments on all work posted.

Recordings of live sessions are made available to all participants, so if you can't make the live time slot, you can watch it later.

Video-only Version: $165.00
The only difference is that you don't join us for the live Zoom class, but rather watch the video replay, which I make available to all enrolled students shortly after each class. You're able to join the private Facebook group (for sharing, support and feedback with/from your fellow students as well as me) and you can email me one or two questions a week to be addressed during class if desired.
