Books allow us to unfold a narrative sequentially over time – a fundamental advantage over a single piece of art.
In this course, we’ll explore possibilities of format, narrative, pacing, colour and design – and more! With her patented blend of inspiring masterworks, discussion, open-ended exercises and helpful feedback, you’ll create a unique artist book that will delight you and your viewers/readers.

The possibilities are limited only by your imagination!
Do you want to use a well loved story, myth, fable, or fairy tale? Or perhaps poems by a favourite poet? Do you have something you’ve already written? Do you want to write something new? Do you want to write it as you go? Or – does it even need words at all??

Working from the comfort of your own home/studio, you’ll connect with fellow artists through group discussions and real-time exercises during each class, as well as working on a project on your own time between classes.
We will be on the easy-to-use Zoom online meeting platform.

The course is accompanied by a private Reddit Community where you can upload your finished or in-progress homework, plus see and comment on your fellow classmates’ work. It’s a lively, collegial safe space to share your work, and I offer comments on all work posted.

Recordings of live sessions are made available to all participants, so if you can't make the live time slot, you can watch it later.

Video-only Version: $231.00
The only difference is that you don't join us for the live Zoom class, but rather watch the video replay, which I make available to all enrolled students shortly after each class. You're able to join the private Reddit group (for sharing, support and feedback with/from your fellow students as well as me) and you can email me one or two questions a week to be addressed during class if desired.

Cost: $280 for 7 live classes,
$231 for video-only version
