$25 for one session
or $75 for a block of 4

First 3 to register (for 1 session or 4!)
get the April 28 session FREE!

Let’s get one thing straight right off the top: Critique isn’t about criticizing your work – not with us, anyway!
It’s about discussing your art: what’s already working, what’s unique and interesting about it (it’s often not what you think!) – what might need changing, depending on what you’re striving for!  – and possible directions for further exploration, either within the current piece or with the pieces that follow.
It’s lively, collegial artistic discussion. It’s encouragement to help you find and/or develop your own unique artistic voice. It’s finding your work’s best expressive forms and avenues. It’s suggestions of artists, work or ideas that may be relevant to your art and/or your practice.

In short: it's all the things that are so hard to generate yourself:
perspective, context, and faith in your process!

Our sessions will be live on the Zoom online platform. Kim and Kal will create a constructive, safe space for participating artists to share work they’re unsure of without fear of judgement.

I don’t think there’s any artist of any value who doesn’t doubt what they’re doing.
                                                       – Francis Ford Coppola

Requirements:
Obviously, you’ll need to have work you’d like input on: either still-in-progress or maybe/definitely finished.

We’ll discuss at least two of your pieces – to a maximum of three if time allows. If you only have one, we can do that, too.

You’ll need to take decently-lit, in-focus photos of the works you’re going to share, cropping out any non-art background: just like you would if you were submitting them to a juried show.
You could either email us your photos a day before the critique, or you can simply have them ready on your computer/tablet  — sharing your screen with the group is easy using Zoom.

Preferred Payment Method: e-transfer (via your online banking). Click button below for email address.
